Pacers Upset Bucks in Playoffs, Advance to Second Round for First Time in a Decade


The Indiana Pacers defeated the Milwaukee Bucks 120-98 in a hard-fought Game 6 to win their first-round playoff series. This marks the Pacers' first trip to the second round of the playoffs in 10 years!

Bucks Missing Key Players

While the Bucks got a boost with Damian Lillard returning from injury, he wasn't at his full strength due to a sore Achilles. Additionally, the Bucks were still missing their star player, Giannis Antetokounmpo.

Pacers' Defense Stifles Lillard

The Pacers played tough defense on Lillard all game, wearing him down and making it difficult for the Bucks to get into their offense quickly.

Indiana's victory wasn't just about stopping Lillard. Their bench players, especially T.J. McConnell (20 points, 9 assists) and Obi Toppin (21 points, 8 rebounds), provided a huge spark with their scoring and energy. This was a big difference compared to the Bucks' reserves who only managed 10 points.

McConnell, who usually averages less than 8 points in the playoffs, had a breakout performance. Toppin also had a big night, scoring more than double his playoff average.
