Randy Travis Sings Again with the Help of Computers!


Country music singer Randy Travis couldn't talk well anymore after he got sick in 2013. But with the help of computers, he was able to sing a new song again!

This is how it worked: imagine a special machine that can copy someone's voice. They used this machine to take Randy's voice from old recordings, kind of like copying a picture. Then, they used another singer to sing the new song first. Finally, they used the machine to put Randy's voice on top of the other singer's voice, like adding a sticker

Randy's longtime friend who helps make his music (called a producer) said they don't want to say who the other singer is yet. But the most important thing is that Randy can still sing with us, even though he can't talk the way he used to.
